{"id":796,"date":"2011-04-07T08:53:58","date_gmt":"2011-04-07T07:53:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.simons-world.at\/rtw\/?p=796"},"modified":"2015-11-14T01:05:45","modified_gmt":"2015-11-13T23:05:45","slug":"lotr-safari-of-the-scenes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.simons-world.at\/rtw\/lotr-safari-of-the-scenes\/","title":{"rendered":"Queenstown LOTR Safari of the Scenes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nachdem ich p\u00fcnktlich um 8:15 Uhr vom Hostel abgeholt wurde, startete mein 4WD Abenteuer mit <a title=\"Nomads Safari Queenstown auf Tripadvisor\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tripadvisor.de\/ShowUserReviews-g255122-d1197035-r87641899-Nomad_Safaris-Queenstown_South_Island.html\" target=\"_blank\">Nomads Safari<\/a>. Der Vormittagstrip ging Richtung Glenorchy, und wir fuhren erst mal dem Lake Wakatipu entlang. Dort machten wir mehrere Fotostopps, und der Fahrer zeigte uns ein paar Stellen, an denen damals gefilmt wurde. In dieser Gegend wurde Isengard und der Wald von Lothlorien gefilmt. Vergleichsbilder sind auch hier sinnlos, weil es sehr schwer war, die exakten Positionen zu ermitteln. Bevor wir wieder zur\u00fcck in die Stadt fuhren, gab es noch Kaffee und Kuchen mitten in der Wildnis, mit gutem Ausblick auf den Mt Earnslaw.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8033 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.simons-world.at\/rtw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/mt-earnslaw-e1447455799133.jpg\" alt=\"mt-earnslaw\" width=\"720\" height=\"351\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In der Stadt stieg ich dann in einen anderen Gel\u00e4ndewagen, und es ging direkt los mit der Wakatipu Basin Tour. Zuerst fuhren wir ein St\u00fcck auf die Remarkables rauf. Das sind die schneebedeckten Berge, die ihr auf vielen Fotos sehen k\u00f6nnt, und ein sehr beliebtes Skigebiet. Von dort oben hatte man eine hervorragende Aussicht auf Queenstown und die Umgebung. Es war aber eisig kalt da oben und es wehte ein sehr starker Wind. Nicht unbedingt ein Ort wo man allzulange bleiben m\u00f6chte.<\/p>\n<p>Der n\u00e4chste spektakul\u00e4re Ort den wir besuchten, war die Kawarau Schlucht, wo auch einige Szenen von der Herr der Ringe gedreht wurden. Von dort hatte man auch einen guten Ausblick auf die Br\u00fccke, von der sich die wahnsinnigen runterst\u00fcrzen. Wohlgemerkt mit einem Seil am Fu\u00df \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.simons-world.at\/rtw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/DSCF3368-e.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-809\" title=\"Kawarau Gorge\" src=\"https:\/\/www.simons-world.at\/rtw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/DSCF3368-e.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.simons-world.at\/rtw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/DSCF3368-e.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.simons-world.at\/rtw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/DSCF3368-e-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Anschlie\u00dfend fuhren wir nach Arrowtown, wo das 4WD Abenteuer erst so richtig losging. Wir durchquerten einen Fluss, und fuhren entlang des Flussbettes, wo es dann wieder Kaffee und Kuchen gab. Man konnte auch sein Gl\u00fcck versuchen, und ein paar Goldk\u00f6rnchen aus dem Fluss fischen. Sehr m\u00fchevoll das Ganze, und die Ausbeute war nicht wirklich gut.<\/p>\n<p>Zu guter Letzt fuhren wir noch ein St\u00fcck in den Skippers Canyon hinein, wo uns prompt ein paar Bergziegen begr\u00fc\u00dften. Hier m\u00fcssen ziemlich viele von den Viechern sein, denn der komplette Weg war mit Schei\u00dfe gepflastert.
