Ich war ja wieder mal v\u00f6llig unentschlossen, wollte ich doch eigentlich im Sommer zum Burning Man in die USA gehen. Aus verschiedenen Gr\u00fcnden ist das aber nichts geworden und so begannen die Planungen von Neuem. S\u00fcdamerika? Sicher ein Abenteuer, absolut sehenswert, doch die schlechte Erreichbarkeit dieser Gegend der Welt ist schon ein Manko. Teure Fl\u00fcge und dann noch dazu zwei oder drei Mal umsteigen? Nein, keine Lust.<\/p>\n

Google Flights enth\u00fcllte dann die unglaublich billigen Fl\u00fcge nach China. Ab 420 Euro kommt man von M\u00fcnchen nach Peking, ein paar Euro mehr und schon hat man einen Direktflug. Wenn man bedenkt dass ein Return-Ticket von Altenrhein nach Wien mit der People’s Viennaline gerne mal 500 Euro kostet, ist das fast schon l\u00e4cherlich. Also was soll\u2018s, ab nach China!<\/p>\n

Schon beim Durchsehen der Visa Unterlagen merkte ich aber, dass es diesmal nicht so einfach werden wird. F\u00fcr China gibt es keine Visa bei Ankunft, man muss diese im Heimatland beantragen und bei Ankunft am Flughafen vorweisen. Ansonsten geht\u2019s in Schubhaft und zur\u00fcck nach Hause. Die Formulare sind recht umfangreich. Man muss unter anderem Angaben \u00fcber Familienmitglieder machen, Reiseplanung sowie Tour Buchungen und Hotelbest\u00e4tigungen vorweisen.<\/p>\n

Mein spontaner Reise-Stil war also nicht angebracht. Da es abseits der Gro\u00dfst\u00e4dte aber sowieso schwierig sein d\u00fcrfte mit Einheimischen zu kommunizieren, habe ich mich wieder einmal f\u00fcr eine gef\u00fchrte Gruppenreise entschieden. Der Anbieter G-Adventures hat mit der Hidden China & Inner Mongolia Tour<\/a> genau die richtige Tour f\u00fcr meinen Geschmack im Angebot. Ein kurzer Auszug:<\/p>\n

Versetze dich an der Gro\u00dfen Chinesischen Mauer in l\u00e4ngst vergangene Zeiten zur\u00fcck, lebe in der Inneren Mongolei in einer Jurte wie die Einheimischen, bewundere das H\u00e4ngende Kloster von Datong, tritt den Terrakotta-Kriegern Auge in Auge gegen\u00fcber, lerne traditionelle chinesische Malerei in Pingyao<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Na wenn das nicht interessant klingt oder? Die Tickets sind gekauft, meine Reiseplanung ist damit auch weitgehend erledigt. Nun kann ich nur noch hoffen, dass es diesmal keine Sauf-Teenie-Tour wird, wie in Vietnam<\/a> damals. Mittlerweile bereite ich schon meine Reiseausr\u00fcstung vor. Dazu geh\u00f6rt auch mein Notebook. Normalerweise habe ich eine Offline-Kopie der Wikipedia dabei, um auch unterwegs immer Zugriff auf Informationen zu haben. Allein dieses Detail k\u00f6nnte in China schon ein Problem darstellen. Steht in Wikipedia doch die unbequeme Wahrheit\u2026<\/p>\n

Interessant ist auch die Warnung des \u00d6sterreichischen Au\u00dfenministeriums, in China m\u00fcsse man mit \u00dcberwachung rechnen. Bei gewissen anderen L\u00e4ndern fand sich komischerweise kein solcher Hinweis. Sollten wir es seit Snowden<\/a> doch eigentlich besser wissen? Naja, im Falle von China ist die massive \u00dcberwachung und Blockierung des freien Internets<\/a> wohl kein Geheimnis. Das gibt mir Grund genug, meine Reise diesmal zwar ganz normal zu dokumentieren, die Inhalte aber erst nach meiner R\u00fcckkehr nach \u00d6sterreich zu ver\u00f6ffentlichen.<\/p>\n
