Heute war ich im Stadtzentrum und hab Olly<\/a> getroffen. Ich werde bald noch mehr mit ihm unternehmen, dazu aber sp\u00e4ter. Nach einer knappen Stunde Zugfahrt kam ich bei der Flinders Street Station an und hatte erst mal kein Plan wohin. Nach ein paar Minuten tauchte Olly mit seinem Fahrrad auf und wir gingen direkt zur Victoria Staatsbibliothek. Das einzige interessante dort waren die dutzenden gratis Surf Stationen \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n

Ich machte dann einen groooo\u00dfen Fehler und beschloss mir auch ein Fahrrad auszuleihen. F\u00fcr $ 2,50 ist das echt ein Schn\u00e4ppchen, aber ich h\u00e4tte nicht gedacht, dass ich so untrainiert bin. Olly fuhr mir st\u00e4ndig davon und ich hatte echt M\u00fche nicht vom Rad zu fallen. \u00dcber Stock und Stein, durch Fu\u00dfg\u00e4ngerzonen, \u00fcber 4-spurige Highways, wir durchquerten die ganze Stadt um nach Abbotsford zu Lentil As Anything<\/a> zu kommen.<\/p>\n

Ich denke diese paar Kilometer waren gef\u00e4hrlicher als die n\u00e4chsten paar tausend die ich zur\u00fccklegen werde. Lentil As Anything ist schwer zu beschreiben. Es ist ein Community Restaurant, Gro\u00dfteils von Freiwilligen betrieben und von Spenden finanziert. Es gibt drei Mal t\u00e4glich ein gro\u00dfes Buffet nach dem \u201epay-what-you-feel\u201c Prinzip. Man isst und trinkt und wirft anschlie\u00dfend einen selbstgew\u00e4hlten Betrag in die Magic Box.<\/p>\n

Das was mich am meisten verwundert hat waren die Leute dort. Sie waren aus allen Schichten, Altersklassen, Religionen, Rassen (wenn man das so sagen kann?!)\u2026und alle haben gemeinsam gegessen, geredet und gelacht. Ich w\u00fcsste keinen einzigen Ort im tristen Vorarlberg wo so was denkbar w\u00e4re\u2026.<\/p>\n

Ok ich habe schon wieder viel zu viel geschrieben. Nach dem Essen fuhren wir zur\u00fcck in die Stadt und haben eine Backpackerin aus Spanien getroffen. Nein, sie sieht nicht im entferntesten so aus wie man sich eine Spanierin vorstellt. Zwischenzeitlich hatte es geregnet und ich war durch und durch nass, eine Stunde sp\u00e4ter aber wieder ganz von alleine getrocknet. Wir sind noch ein bisschen durch die Stadt geschlendert und dann musste ich eh schon das Fahrrad abgeben und wieder mit dem Zug zur\u00fcckfahren. Ich sp\u00fcre meine F\u00fc\u00dfe schon jetzt nicht mehr und bin gespannt ob ich morgen \u00fcberhaupt noch laufen kann \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n
