Manche Zahlen sind nicht mehr ganz so aktuell, geben allerdings trotzdem einen guten Einblick in das Leben der lokalen Bev\u00f6lkerung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bev\u00f6lkerungsstruktur, Bildung\nund Gesundheit<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Nach Angaben der Volksz\u00e4hlung von\n2010, hat der Distrikt Santa Fe 15.585 Einwohner, davon 8.358 M\u00e4nner und 7.227\nFrauen. Im Vergleich zum Jahr 2000 wurde ein Bev\u00f6lkerungswachstum von knapp 20%\nbeobachtet. Heute hat Santa Fe sch\u00e4tzungsweise knapp 17.000 Einwohner, die sich\nauf rund 2.000 km\u00b2 und 320 Siedlungen aufteilen. Unsere Finca\nbefindet sich im Corregimiento Santa Fe, w\u00e4hrend unser damaliges Miethaus in\nden Bergen von El Pantano gelegen war. R\u00edo Luis und Calov\u00e9bora sind die\nn\u00f6rdlichsten Teile des Distrikts, die in Richtung der Karibikk\u00fcste liegen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Im ganzen Distrikt Santa Fe gibt\nes demnach eine Bev\u00f6lkerungsdichte von knapp 8 Einwohnern pro Quadratkilometer.\nIm Vergleich dazu sind es in \u00d6sterreich 106 und im EU-Schnitt 118 Menschen pro\nQuadratkilometer. Die Bev\u00f6lkerungsstruktur in Santa Fe ist demnach eher jung und wird\ndies auch in den kommenden Jahrzehnten bleiben. Der Altersdurchschnitt betr\u00e4gt\nrund 20 Jahre, mit Ausnahme der n\u00f6rdlichen Corregimientos Calov\u00e9bora und R\u00edo\nLuis, wo dieser 13 bzw. 16 Jahre betr\u00e4gt. Wieder zum Vergleich, in der EU liegt\nder Altersdurchschnitt bei rund 43 Jahren. Der Distrikt Santa Fe verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber\ninsgesamt 50 Schulen, von denen sich 41 auf der Prim\u00e4rstufe und 9 auf der\nSekund\u00e4rstufe befinden. Zwei davon sind professionelle und technische Institute\n(IPT), eines in Alto de Piedra im Corregimiento von Santa Fe Cabecera und ein\nweiteres in R\u00edo Luis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In der Prim\u00e4rstufe werden 2.721\nSch\u00fcler von 166 Lehrpersonen in insgesamt 224 Klassenzimmern unterrichtet.\nTrotzdem gibt es in Santa Fe noch rund 2.600 Analphabeten, was 23% der\nBev\u00f6lkerung ab 10 Jahren entspricht. Das Centro de Salud im Dorfkern wird allerdings langsam zu klein und in\nden n\u00e4chsten Jahren soll ein Krankenhaus gebaut werden. Dies wird die\nAttraktivit\u00e4t von Santa Fe noch einmal deutlich erh\u00f6hen, da das n\u00e4chstgelegene\nKrankenhaus derzeit rund 60 km entfernt ist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Wohnen und Versorgungsleistungen<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Distrikt Santa Fe hat 3.650 H\u00e4user, von denen 78% mit Trinkwasser, 87% mit sanit\u00e4ren Anlagen, 28% mit einem Stromanschluss, 22% mit einem Fernsehger\u00e4t und 4% mit einem Telefonanschluss ausgestattet sind. Immerhin rund 64% haben ein Radio. Lasst diese Zahlen erst einmal ein wenig auf euch wirken. Die oftmals d\u00e4mlichen Fragen nach der Verbreitung von Klimaanlagen, Eierkochern oder Schnellkocht\u00f6pfen, er\u00fcbrigen sich dann auch ganz schnell wieder. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Richtig interessant wird die\nStatistik, was die Baumaterialien der H\u00e4user anbelangt. Mit knapp 70% haben die\nmeisten H\u00e4user ein Zink- oder Metalldach, gefolgt von rund 26% mit Palm- oder\nStrohd\u00e4chern und nur 4% mit anderen Materialien wie Wellbeton oder Ziegeln. Von den insgesamt\n3.650 H\u00e4usern im Distrikt Santa Fe, hat knapp 39% eine betonierte Bodenplatte\nund weitere 17% einen Holzboden. Mehr als ein Drittel besitzen lediglich einen\nunbefestigten Boden aus Lehm oder Erde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Was die Wasserversorgung betrifft,\nso verf\u00fcgen nur 254 H\u00e4user, vornehmlich im Ortskern von Santa Fe, \u00fcber einen\nAnschluss an das \u00f6ffentliche Versorgungsnetz, welches von einer Wasseraufbereitungsanlage\nin der Schlucht von La Muela gespeist wird. Mit knapp 2.500 H\u00e4usern versorgen\nsich die meisten Einwohner mit Wasser aus gemeinschaftlich betriebenen Quellen\nund Leitungen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>51 Haushalte beziehen ihr Wasser\naus einem ungesch\u00fctzten Brunnen, 242 holen Wasser aus einer oberfl\u00e4chlichen\nQuelle, 486 holen Wasser aus Fl\u00fcssen und B\u00e4chen und 6 versorgen sich mit\nRegenwasser. Lediglich 18 Haushalte beziehen ihr Trinkwasser aus einem\nsanit\u00e4ren Brunnen, so wie wir einen haben. In der Statistik scheint au\u00dferdem\nein Haushalt auf, der sich ausschlie\u00dflich von abgef\u00fclltem Mineralwasser versorgt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Bezug auf die Abw\u00e4sser verf\u00fcgen\nrund drei viertel der H\u00e4user \u00fcber eine Sicker- oder Kl\u00e4rgrube und weitere 13%\n\u00fcber einen Septiktank. Was die Stromversorgung angeht, welche in den meisten\nHaushalten quasi ausschlie\u00dflich zur Beleuchtung ben\u00f6tigt wird, haben von den\n3.650 H\u00e4usern nur knapp 23% einen Anschluss an das \u00f6ffentliche Stromnetz.\nWeitere 45% beleuchten ihre H\u00e4user mit Petroleumlampen und knapp 2% verwenden Solarmodule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Ursache f\u00fcr diese relativ schlechte Versorgung der Bev\u00f6lkerung, liegt in erster Linie an der schweren Erreichbarkeit und gro\u00dfen Streuung der Siedlungen.
