Um Langeweile zu verhindern, wird es wieder eine bunte Mischung aus verschiedenen Themen. Die Ursache ist in beiden F\u00e4llen recht unklar. Von Giftkr\u00f6ten \u00fcber giftige Pflanzen, das Rattengift des Nachbarn oder starker Wurmbefall ist alles denkbar. Ja, hier gibt es viele Gefahren f\u00fcr Haustiere und zumindest unsere Katzen hatten bisher kein allzu gro\u00dfes Gl\u00fcck.<\/p>\n<p>Doch auch an dieser Geschichte gibt es etwas Positives, denn Senior Gris hatte kurz vor der Kastration noch jede Menge Spa\u00df mit der Nachbarskatze. So springt gerade in diesem Moment ein kleiner Fellkn\u00e4uel in dritter Generation durch unser Haus. Und das ganz klar am liebsten auf dem Beifahrersitz oder gar gleich auf meinem Scho\u00df. Und sind wir erstmal an der Finca angekommen, gibt es f\u00fcr Bobby eine ganze Auswahl von Schlafpl\u00e4tzen und nat\u00fcrlich alle Essensreste von uns und den Arbeitern. Wenn wir einmal nicht arbeiten, sondern vielleicht ein wenig Entspannung suchen, laufen wir alle miteinander zum Fluss hinunter.<\/p>\n<p>Kurz vor Beginn der Regenzeit gab es dort im M\u00e4rz und April jede Menge k\u00f6stliche Mangos zu ernten. Die letzten 20 Meter um den Fluss wurden damals nicht abgeholzt und sind noch recht naturbelassen. In diesem Bereich gibt es viele alte Mango B\u00e4ume, die sich zwischen den Felsen am Wasser recht wohl f\u00fchlen und zahlreiche Fr\u00fcchte tragen.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_10470\" style=\"width: 730px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.simons-world.at\/rtw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_20180406_122917792_HDR.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10470\" class=\"size-large wp-image-10470\" src=\"https:\/\/www.simons-world.at\/rtw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_20180406_122917792_HDR-720x405.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.simons-world.at\/rtw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_20180406_122917792_HDR-720x405.jpg 720w, https:\/\/www.simons-world.at\/rtw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_20180406_122917792_HDR-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.simons-world.at\/rtw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_20180406_122917792_HDR-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.simons-world.at\/rtw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_20180406_122917792_HDR-520x293.jpg 520w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-10470\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Einer unserer Mango Felsen am Fluss<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Wenn man sich dann nach dem Schwimmen auf einen der Felsen setzt und sich im angenehmen Wind trocknen l\u00e4sst, h\u00e4ngen die untersten Fr\u00fcchte quasi auf Augenh\u00f6he. Ich strecke dann meinen Arm aus, pfl\u00fccke eine Mango vom Baum und bei\u00dfe herzhaft hinein. Sehr lecker. Am besten schmecken sie mir sowieso gr\u00fcn, wenn sie noch bissfest und etwas sauer sind. Die s\u00fc\u00dfen reifen Mangos machen sich in St\u00fccke geschnitten sehr gut in einem scharfen Curry oder auch zu Fischgerichten. So etwas gab es dann auch Ende April zu meinem Geburtstag. Und nat\u00fcrlich einen Kuchen.<\/p>\n<p>So, da wir es jetzt schon von Tierischem und Leckerem hatten, kombinieren wir die beiden Sachen doch gleich. Unsere Lebensmittel kaufen wir vorwiegend lokal und achten auch im Supermarkt darauf, die in Panama oder gar gleich in Santiago produzierten Sachen zu kaufen. Doch es geht noch besser. Gerne nehmen wir dann auch gleich ein paar Kilo nahrhaftes Santa Fe Fleisch ab. Ja, in Panama ist es schlie\u00dflich kein Gesch\u00e4ftsmodell, lebende Viecher von Costa Rica nach Kolumbien zu fahren, um sie dann wieder zu importieren und irgendwelche F\u00f6rderungen abzugreifen. Einen Liter Milch gibt es zum Beispiel nicht unter $1,50. Sehr wohl aber gelten hier gesetzlich festgeschriebene Maximalpreise f\u00fcr s\u00e4mtliche Grundnahrungsmittel. Die Absichten dahinter waren wohl gut, doch leider hat es in der Praxis dazu gef\u00fchrt, dass vermehrt billige Lebensmittel importiert werden, anstatt diese selber zu produzieren. Tja, vor den Folgen politischer Fehlentscheidungen ist man halt in keinem Land der Welt so wirklich sicher.<\/p>\n<p>In Santa Fe ticken die Uhren sowieo anders, denn streng genommen sind die zahlreichen Hausschlachtungen hier alle illegal. Auch der Bauer der uns seine Milch verkauft, hat mit Sicherheit nicht alle daf\u00fcr n\u00f6tigen Papiere abgestempelt. Uns ist das nur recht. Die Milch pasteurisieren kann ich auch selber und was man sonst noch so alles daraus machen kann, wird die Zeit zeigen.<\/p>\n<p>Gerade eben kommen Lisa und Louis von einem Ausflug zur Finca des Nachbaren in den Bergen zur\u00fcck. Die Ausbeute ist gro\u00df. Frische Zitronen, Orangen, Mandarinen, Litschi, Bananen, Kakao und vieles mehr haben sie im Gep\u00e4ck. Es ist Zeit hier Schluss zu machen.
